I’ve been a subscriber to Fairyloot since December 2018, and this was one of the first boxes I wasn’t thrilled about because of the theme “Broody Banter”. It didn’t sound interesting, but it turned out to be one of my most favorite boxes! I will never judge a theme ever again!
Let’s take a look at what was inside.
The box was filled with several things that were super exciting! There were socks, tea, a box that looks like an old-fashioned book, a reading journal, and more.
I love receiving these book boxes, doesn’t matter if I’m not thrilled about the theme or the book. It’s the surprise-factor that’s exciting! Makes me almost feel like a kid on Christmas. Do you agree?
If you’re subscribed to Fairyloot let me know in the comments below what excites you the most about receiving the boxes!
Every box also comes with beautiful prints.
The first one is the spoiler card and the theme. When they announced the theme, that image made me think of thieves for some reason, and that was probably the reason why I wasn’t too thrilled about this box.
The second one is of Zuko from Avatar – The Last Airbender series. According to the spoiler card, the guys at Fairyloot waited for the right time to include it. I’ve watched some Avatar episodes and I know who Zuko is, but I honestly don’t see where he fits in with everything. Maybe I will see once I’ve read the book.
The last one is my favorite! I assume it’s the characters from the book that came with the box. Keep reading to find out which book it was!
Since December, each box also comes along with two Tarot card. This time, we have Dumbledore as the Magician and, I assume, Draco Malfoy as Death.
I haven’t read the books about Harry Potter, but I’ve seen the movies. I know, I know, I’m missing out by not reading them, but I don’t think I’m the right audience. I’m so sorry!!!
There were also two bookmarks. One with the image of the theme, and the other one with the quote “He tasted of sweet liquor every delicious dark dream she’d ever had” from the book Fire Falling, the Air Awakens series by Elise Kova.
A small print about Shadow and Flame, the sequel to Onyx & Ivory, was also included. The cover looks absolutely stunning! That alone makes me want to read this series. Have you read it? Is it any good? Let me know in the comments below!
A pair of comfortable socks and good smelling tea was included as well. A set of paperclips with Jace from The Immortal Instruments, Jacks from the Caraval series, Rowan from Thrones of Glass, and a quote was another item, along with a Bloodwitch Enamel Pin. It went up on the wall to join my pin collection!
The iron-on-patch is a cute thing, but not for me unfortunately. I don’t know what to put it on, and I don’t have an iron.
My absolutely favorite thing, apart from the book, was the box that looks like an old book! I love it! A great product with quotes from different characters, for instance, Cardan from The Cruel Prince.
And then we have the Reading Journal. A fun little journal for those who enjoys writing down their reading progress and thoughts.
And then, the best for last! Like I mentioned above, I wasn’t too thrilled about this box, but the more I discovered it, the more I loved it, and when I got to the book, I almost screamed! I’ve had my eyes on it, and I was planning to buy it next month. Now, I don’t have to, and I can’t wait to read it!
The book is Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson. The cover is absolutely stunning and the shimmering sprayed edges are gorgeous. Unfortunately, I forgot to take an image of them, but I love everything about it. As a broker for a printing house in Poland, I know this was an expensive book to print. Worth every penny in my eyes! Now, I hope the story is just as good.
Have you read it? Let me know below, but no spoilers! 🙂
